Erasmus+ Visit in Spain

The project Erasmus+ ,which has been ongoing for 2 years in Kaltinėnai A.Stulginskis gymnasium, has finaly reached its end. On the year 2017 20-26 of May a group of students and teachers were in Spain for the last visit – this project country – coordinator. Full of indelible impressions, with nostalgia in our hearts, we remember everything, what has been left – the school of Sax,Spain – IES PASCUAL CARRIÓN!
The visit lasted for 6 days – each one different, with something intructive. The goal of the project – to promote Europe‘s international youth group with multilingualism, and also job perspectives in the continent.Leading by this intention, we were greated with jobs in Leather, Furniture, ShoeS and Blinds factories. A lot of attention in this visit were paid to advanced technologies- especialy robotics. Participation in presentations, CLIL lessons opened up a clear view of the modern world of the future when not only drones, but also robots will be applied in various jobs functions.  The Lithuanian team, as well as other partners (Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Greece, Spain), presented the research about robots and Lithuania Labour Market in that field.(11th grade students Rokas Slaboševičius and Paulius Norgaila), provided CLIL lesson „Robots in daily life“ (10th grade student Saida Šiušaitė and 8th grade students Modestas Vedeikis, Ūla Ivinskytė and Agnė Gudauskaitė), contributed to the construction of robots.
There was no shortage of entertainment. On Sunday  gymnasium principal Virginijus Andrejauskas, project Manager Laima Šalkauskienė, teachers Laima Baltutienė, Nomeda Kasmauskaitė and Irena Genčauskienė enjoyed the pleasure of following a festive parade upclose in the city of Petrer.  In this large festival Spanish people dress up with traditional and historical costumes and march along the streets, deligh everyone with good humor and optimism.
Walking through the beautiful and historical city of Cartagena, climbing into the mountains, enjoymentof Guadalests unique panorama of the city, palm trees, tropical climate and mountainous terrain left unforgettable impressions. The last day project partners enjoyed the water entertainment – Nautical activities  at Salinas de Santa Pola beach, walked along the Mediterranean coast which charmed everyone. The hosts took care of us during every day, we were accompanied by the people of  the sincere and hospital country. One of the most beautiful moments of travel – a surprise prepared by the teachers from the school of Sax. They performed a different countries folk songs in their native language concert.  At a farewell party we enjoyed tasty Spanish food, shared experiences and drawn farewell tears.
On Saturday we left the city of Sax and went back to Lithuania. We returned full of impressions, memories and a desire to visit Spain one more time.

Thoughts about meeting:

"The project Erasmus+ gave me opportunity to visit Sax in Spain. Visit was something different and special for me. I got a say, Spain is a majestic country, full of beautiful places, cities, towns, a lot of rocky mountains, beautiful beaches with light blue water, sunny days and of course amazing atmosphere. People in Spain were amazing too, they never left me alone, always take care of me and made visit much better. I will never forget Spain, Sax, people and sights that i have seen in this visit. I will always remember Sax, because you just can't forget it, Spain affected me a lot. I have a dream that one day i will be able travel back to Spain, Sax, to meet this gorgeous country again."

"Tai mane gyvenimo geriausia savaitė! Sutikau daug naujų draugų, aplankiau daug gražių vietovių ir nemažai iš clil pamokų sužinojau apie robotiką."

Unfortunately, in the next morning,we had to say goodbye to them.
The visit passed unnoticeably. Erasmus + project gave us an opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of another country, learn new things and meet so many warm and honest people, who have already become a part of our family. The memories will remain for a long time. This visit is over, but new impressions and adventures are already waiting for  us. Soon we will meet our Erasmus + project friends in sunny Spain! We kindly appreciate the experience we could gain in Poland, thank you, dear friends, for every single effort you made for us!
